Moose Munch Chocolate Bars

Normally I like candy in my popcorn, not popcorn in my candy, but this is Moose Munch popcorn.

Moose Munch DarkBetween agonizing over makes, trims, and greasy car salesmen, I was able to enjoy what remains of the winter with a Moose Munch Chocolate Bar in the park.
And though nothing new, the candy bar, hiding among the sour sprays and Whitman's Samplers at Walgreens, was new to me. Their candy bar will slap the taste of the $2 buck choc out your mouth and put a crunchy smile on your face.

Moose MunchThe unassuming bar comes in a camouflaged wrapper, presumably to hunt Moose, which seems cruel and ironic, but tastes so very good.
"Hey der, Pete, dats some good Moose, pass da ammo."
Made in Oregon (which translates to land of many colorful raincoats), the 2 oz. Harry and David bar is available in both dark and milk chocolate, but is all about the center, a lively and familiar blend of cashews, almonds, toffee, popcorn, and fudge.
Their popcorn is good, their candy bar is better.
If that doesn't float your moose, perhaps a bag of Moose Poop, Moose Nuts, or Moose Poop with sunflower seeds will.
Although it's too late to digress but never too late to ruminate, I can't help but think of a wonderful soul named Mary Moose, the woman who taught me to love dogs, tolerate cats, and appreciate southerners—another post, another gift card, a new scanner.

  1. That dark chocolate Moose Munch candy bar looks pretty good. In fact, me crave-ith it right NOW...

You can keep the Moose Poop, though. Chocolate-covered huckleberry? Yick.

  3. I liked the milk chocolate better, but I ate it before I could take a photo, UH.
I'd take both if I weren't on a new path to health.
Well, I guess it has nuts, so...

  4. Yeah, Jim, I liked the milk chocolate better, I'm not much of a dark chocolate person. It has to be an exceptional dark chocolate and I have to be in a fit to eat the dark.
I ate the milk chocolate before I could snap a shot.

  7. I was thinking of sending you a bag of moose poop from Canada, but apparently you can get moose poop where you are too! ;p

How about beaver poop? Deer droppings or bear scat? I need to send you something Canadian! ;p

  8. Those are all chocolate covered nuts. I wouldn't send you ACTUAL feces. You know that, right? ;) Jimbo, on the other hand...LOL! J/K! XOXO

  9. I meant Jimmy as in Uncivil and not the other Jim on here :) Okay, better go before the "open mouth, insert foot" syndrome gets worse! ;p

  10. Deer droppings are plenty, I never saw so many deer cross the road as the other day, C., there must have been seven of them, and all taking their sweet time, too. They didn't look down the road for traffic like they usually do either, must be FIB deer that migrated north.

  11. There were 32 deer in our backyard this morning. I'm a city girl and still think it's a novelty seeing deer in our back field! Hubby, being the farmer, doesn't think it's a novelty at all! LOL! They're so purrrty though!

  12. You are hilari ass, Chrissy. Although I was just watching a show about bear scat at Yellowstone that made you want to pick some up and put it in a tube.
You know Jim ('s Choc Mission) is the anti Jimbo. He is one of the most civil people in cyberspace.

  13. 32? Holy hell shit and a shovel! I thought it was bad that the ones who live in the yard get a little pushy when I unload groceries.

  14. John would like Soco's mommy and daddy. I asked her what she was doing during hunting season one day, and she's like "Making deer jerky." I asked where she got the venison and she's like "We shot it last weekend."

  16. Also, I am a total Walgreen's addict...how about you? *smiles* (I have one right across the street from my apartment building, so I am there almost every day.)

  17. Hey der, Miss H. I am as well, I mean what don't they have at Walgreens?
It was a surprisingly good candy bar, and not helping me on my failing diet either. Good thing I love to exercise is all I can say.

  18. It does kinda look like poop, but I like it!! I will have to pick one up and give a whirl, thanks to you! :)

  19. It was good, Lisa. Kind of light cuz of the popcorn, but rich, cuz of the fudge and the general Moose Munchiness of it.
